Naruto Uzumaki reached the peak of his power after the events of the Fourth Great Ninja War and eventually became the Seventh Hokage of Konoha during the Boruto era. As one of the strongest ninjas in history, Naruto has always been a force to be reckoned with. However, the Boruto series has introduced several changes that have reduced his combat abilities. In Boruto Chapter 55, Naruto officially lost Kurama, marking a significant turning point in his journey.
With his most powerful ally gone, Naruto now has to rely on other abilities to keep up with the current generation of strong ninjas. While it might seem like he’s weakened, the Seventh Hokage actually possesses some powerful new techniques that could allow him to take down even the most formidable enemies in a single strike.
After the Loss Of Kurama, Naruto’s New Strongest Jutsu Is The Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan
During his time with Kurama, Naruto had access to a wide range of powerful techniques. By using Six Paths Sage Mode, he could combine the chakra of the Tailed Beasts to create abilities like the Six Paths: Lava Release Rasenshuriken, which he used against Delta in Boruto Chapter 32. He also had access to powerful jutsu such as Baryon Mode, which made its debut in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 51.

With these incredible powers, Naruto was nearly unstoppable. But after losing Kurama, he had to refine his other skills. His powers have since been upgraded with the use of a new Sage Mode, confirmed in Boruto Chapter 64. This mode allows him to utilize his strongest technique yet: the Ultra Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan.
This jutsu first appeared in the battle against Delta in Boruto Chapter 33. While Naruto’s Rasengan has always been massive, the Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan is the largest and strongest he has ever created. It was able to overwhelm Delta’s chakra absorption, nearly killing her, which means it could potentially work on Otsutsuki-level individuals as well.
Shikamaru: Naruto, you can’t maintain this transformation for long, can you?
Naruto: Don’t worry! My Sage Mode is much better than before. Call it a gift of wisdom.
— Exchange between Shikamaru and Naruto Uzumaki, Boruto Chapter 64
Even though Naruto may seem weaker on the surface, he hasn’t engaged in any high-level combat since losing Kurama. This means his strength could surprise everyone when it’s revealed later. With the Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan, he was able to defeat Delta, suggesting that characters like Kinshiki or Code would also fall to this technique.
Naruto’s Huge Chakra Reserve Can Still Kill Most Enemies In 1 Blow
Despite losing Kurama, Naruto still has an immense chakra reserve. This is due to his Uzumaki bloodline and the fact that Kurama’s chakra was integrated into his over the years. Even without Kurama, Naruto’s chakra remains far greater than most shinobi. This allows him to create thousands of clones and use techniques like the Super Ultra Big Ball Rasengan.
“What the?? Is there no limit to this guy’s chakra?” — Delta, Boruto Chapter 33
He could also use a barrage version of this technique, ensuring that even the strongest enemies cannot stand in his way. With his improved Sage Mode, this technique becomes even more devastating. As Boruto: Two Blue Vortex approaches its most exciting parts, Naruto’s return is on the horizon. This means he will once again face powerful enemies like the Otsutsuki and Shinju, if they are still alive.
Why Naruto’s Improved Sage Mode Can Give Him Even Stronger Jutsu
One notable aspect of Naruto’s current Sage Mode is its increased power and extended duration. This upgrade has allowed him to master the Five Nature Transformations, enabling him to use techniques like Sage Art: Bath of Boiling Oil. He can also enhance his Earth Release, which he first used in the battle against Boruto in Chapter 16.
Additionally, Naruto can incorporate powerful Genjutsu into his arsenal. Jiraiya’s Sage Art: Toad Confrontation Song Genjutsu was strong enough to take out multiple parts of Pain at once. This Genjutsu could now be part of Naruto’s skill set, giving him access to even more abilities.
For now, Naruto’s return must wait as Sasuke takes the spotlight in the upcoming Hidari arc. Once Sasuke makes his comeback, Naruto will follow, and only then will he get a chance to showcase his abilities once more.
